A Horrific Love Affair

Updated on January 18, 2011

dark, dank, foreboding

fiddles playing in the mind in minor

knives scraping,

maybe sharpening

chains rattling welcome

foot slipping...

what was that!

blood splattering

sweet, salty, not dried yet

evil laughing

calling a name

yours? What shall you do?

a body there

skeletal sockets staring back at you

comprehending your sticky end

jaw relaxed as if to grin

a shriek, moans

"no more, no more, dear God nooooooo..."

and another shriek

Wake up,

turn off that TV,

else you will dream of this all night

knowing that you cling to it

wondering why you dance with shadows

bid them welcome to your mind

'tis not well to live in obscurity

even if just to enjoy the show.

The last horror movie I watched was the boogie monster. It made an impression and that was a very long time ago.

Would it help if the obscurity were removed?

This one brought back memories of days when I would stay up watching TV rather than going to bed alone. Not a good idea.

hmmm and I was going for frivolous. I guess I will have to do a bit more work on that. I am glad you enjoyed it though.

Wonderfully horrific indeed, you certainly have proved to me that you are capable of the incomprehensibly profound with interesting twists. Bravo, well crafted. Rated Up

Just to prove to myself and others that I am capable of things beyond the incomprehensibly profound
