A Hundred Thousand Times

Updated on July 31, 2013

A Hundred Thousand Times

The cool water flowing bubbling by my feet

Feeling such a peace and tranquility filling me up inside

How long had it been since I had been in this place

How truly long had it been

Breathing comes so easy in this place

The air has a crispness that is matched

Only by that of a warm apple pie

The breeze kissing the skin as it passes by

Playfully tossing leaves as it blows

I could live this day a hundred times

The harmony of nature

Bowing down before me

Gracefully showing how easy it is

Just to be

The sounds all around me filling my ears

With a splendor a symphony orchestra could only

Hope and attempt to achieve

My hair being tossed gently in the breeze

Tickling my face as it waves

I could live this day a thousand times

Frogs croaking in a harmonious pitch

A tempo to be taught

The sounds of birds fill the air

With a joyous tone as it reaches my ears

Pushing my hair behind my ear

The wind catching it and releasing it again

I will just let it be

Looking up to feel the sun

The warmth so welcomed on my face

I could live this day ten thousand times

Dipping my toes into the cool water

Feeling the current rush between my toes

Kicking my legs back and forth

How free do I feel

I lay back and watch the clouds

I see a shape or two

The sky is so bright today

Can this day be any more perfect?

Any more serene and peaceful?

I could live this day a hundred thousand times
