A Life Worth Making

Updated on September 28, 2012

Is A Life Doing Right

What if for our next life we could be the creator

We could have and do everything we wanted to the very last detail

There is only one catch

We have to write the script for it all

Just remember what we leave out someone else fills the rest in

It could be a part timer or a dedicated social worker

Maybe a funny college student who wants a laugh

An old lady with a grudge or a priest on a mission

So you better get cracking

There are twenty four hours in each day to consider and you want to live be 100

Anything left out could make you curse or pout

So plan each day wisely and you can be as creative as you want

I will check back on you later

I am going swimming and then for a walk

I might go on the computer or watch a good movie

Then go out to eat and later take a quick nap

When life comes down to all the hard work and effort involved to make it all happen

I leave my life up to God and I can adjust and fix the little things

When it comes to the big picture

I know my limits and next time when I am down on my luck

I just bite my lip instead of curse

Because if I had to plan each and every day

I would not be happy and I would of lost my mind along time ago

So I am one who counts my blessings every chance I get

Because no matter what happens

I don't want the responsibility of doing it my way

Life is so much more fun living than planning every day

Dream On - Thank you! I enjoy knowing someone like you, too.

I'm quite spontaneous and love to let the flow take me along. It's just that anyone's daily routine or conscious list of "must-do" items is a kind of plan, and must-do things must be done. Not doing them most often results in some kind of mistake, lack or loss. So it's no contradiction to tend to those things and yet be open and acceptant of the moments and what they bring.

Yes, I know how to get there when I need to get to a specific 'there'. But I'm seldom so fixed on it that I can't pause or interrupt it for something that comes up having more value or priority. People things have high priority. My most intense focus is usually on some creative project. I can keep at that night & day with scarsely a side-ways glance! haha

But I regard it mistaken to try to keep such a close, tight grip on one's life that one squeezes the life out of life, because life IS change brought to light by life and living. Either extreme, too tight or too loose a grip, will turn out to be unsatisfactory at some vital level. At least, that's my take on it.

Gypsy Rose Lee I am all for that. What's next. There are so many things to do and so many ways to do them.I think I will begin with a smile. Now that's a small start in the right direction.Stretching my body to feel good.I am on a roll two for two.It is amazing what we can do when we put our mind to it.Off to enjoy a beautiful wedding and see a lovely young couple tie the knot.To continue on with a family and a wonderful life.May your day be filled with promising results and endless fun.
