A Love Still Percolating.

Updated on January 30, 2010

A Love Still Percolating.

 (from a classified ad in

a poetry magazine to a

 love not yet realized.)

You hardened me

as I stirred my coffee,
I also stirred just south

of it's gaping black maw,
sweet and low I trembled,

then you smiled at me
as if you knew, and

then you took a seat
at a table by the window,
steamed by the January chill.

Your eyes drifted to me
more often then normal,
and being in a

rather obvious state,
I remained rigid in my chair.
but I left you my number

in the condensation
on the window outside
as I passed your table...
on the way to my car.

You were reading

last weeks edition

of this magazine,
and i saw you

scribble my number
in eyeliner pencil

on it's border.

The night was colder

without your glance,
Please call me when

you read this memory,
The phone is

my soul answer

to all my dreams
but I left my heart
on a Starbucks window

as a tip on how

to reach me.
"Please do!"

that was so wonderful. It made my heart tingle. I love to hear it when men, well maybe you are not a man, but i am looking at the picture you have there....

Love it when men understand women to the extent, they would notice the message scribbled with eyeliner pen. That was a great line, it was a lovely lovely verse, very well done. Is it just my mood, or is this wonderful...
