A Loved One Lost repost

Updated on November 16, 2014

A Loved One Lost

What do you do when a part of you is gone
Do you give up and cry with no will
to go on
Do you run, do you hide,
no matter what cost
and cry "why oh why me!"
from the terrible loss
or do you stand
and be strong with self-pity forsaken
and remember the past and the love
that was taken
Remember the goodtimes,
the joy, and the fears
but remember with smiles not sadness and tears
if you can't do that just best to forget
because life is to short to
live with constant regret

Your words travel deep. Enjoy the time we have with our friends and family. Memories are made from these times. The cycle of life must go on.If we never died there would be no room for future babies. I keep myself busy with all the good things in life. Leaves me no time to feel sad. Powerful and special. Thank you for sharing this poem.

I hope this isn't a personal poem from the files of your own suffering. shygirl2 is right, that we must remember them as a life once celebrated! Death is inevitable, but our memories live on forever!!! Beautiful poem:)

Loss of a loved one is always a hard one to deal with. It is best to remember them as a life once celebrated! : )
