A Misunderstanding

Updated on March 21, 2012

This poem is dedicated to Sofs, who asked a question and gave me the words .

WANTED ....A Poem of tenderness and playful romance, Can anyone write something like that for me? A tale of a small misunderstanding.........

To apologize, is why i Made this call

It was only a misunderstanding,

An argument, so dark and small

we raised our voices and shouted

as we both came off the wall

You know that I will always love you

the spoken words contained much hurt

no harm was really meant between us

it's just that the words were very curt.

Please let me touch your soft cheek

I want to stroke your brown hair

I will always be there for you

I am not going anywhere.

A small bouquet of flowers

is what I offer thee

to make up for the words

that led to us to disagree

Now as we lay together

you squeeze and hold me tight

the drama... done and gone

our love has taken flight

Beating as one is the sound

of our happy hearts

knowing that a small argument

will never make us part

The heat from our love was oh so hot,

tommorow more flowers for sure will be bought...

@ bily, thanks for your support and comments glad you liked my write.

      @Dreamer,

      Ahh the beauty of love,

does it come from up above

      or is in the heart,

      how does it start?

when we look into our mothers eyes

is that how starts, the love in our lives?

Sofs, thank you for inspiring me and challenging me in the same vein, to a poetic experience that was very fulfilling. For I did learn something about myself.

Wow! You have a beautiful way with words. This is a bit different for you, though you have brought the beauty of love to the surface very well. I love it!!!

This is so tender and beautiful. Misunderstandings are normal in relationships but true love tides through it all. Thanks for the dedication... I am humbled by your words. Have a beautiful day!

Michael this is so beautiful. Love is stronger than anything else. Misunderstandings do happen, nobody is perfect. Love needs to be cared for. You have painted a very nice picture of such situation. Well done.
