A moment’s peace, edifies the spirit,

Sharpens my intuition, and centres the heart on Love.

Like the wings of a dove, it sails on the river of time,

And flies above the storms of life.

A moment’s peace, is blessed above all else,

Fills my core with virtue, and takes away my vale of tears;

Like a beam of perpetual light,

It embraces me with its nectar rays.

A moment’s peace, is sweeter to my emotions,

Than the honeycomb;

Fills my soul with heavenly joy;

And alleviates the magnitude, of my earthly pangs.

A moment’s peace, awakens in me,

The light of a new dawn.

It is as strong as a lion; yet meek as a lamb.

This peace is needful to my progress,

Frees me from a flood of worldly thoughts,

And destroys the rust of my unhappiness.

A moment’s peace,

Grant’s me the grace of inward vision;

The fusion of ardent love,

And delights in the sovereign good,

Above all visible things.

A moment’s peace, is contented with little;

Feels more blessed to give than to receive.

It shares in the fullness of our joys,

And is most precious, when preserved in silence.

A moment’s peace, flies on the wings of burning love,

Descends again, like the dew,

And knows the fullness of heaven.

Like clouds of fragrant incenses,

This peace is soothing to my being.

A moment’s peace, evokes from deep within,

Deeds inspired by love.

It fires the heart, enlightens the understanding.

And dispels, like smoke, the seeds of grief.

A moment’s peace,

Has the innocence of a child’s smile.

It kindles the psalm of brotherhood,

Like the oneness of an Olympic dream:

A gift of Love supreme.

A moment’s peace,

Like the newborn, cradled in its mother’s arms.

Can and shall make this world beautiful,

A moment’s peace … …..

      "A moment’s peace, awakens in me, The light of a new dawn." These are my favorite lines in my favorite verse of this poem. "Rust of my unhappiness" speaks volumes. So many striking images from the poet's heart, invite our surrender to a moment's peace. Voted Up, Useful and Beautiful!
