On Adversity and Afflictions

Afflictions can seem to be unkind to us. We feel that the rich get away scot-free and the noble or worthy suffer.

None of us want things to go 'wrong.' We delight in God's goodness and shun adversity.

Amidst this all, The Master Artist, like a Divine Potter, moulds and shapes us all,

in the smouldering lava of Light and Darkness, to address and alleviate our pains. Alleluia!!

A Prayer

O Love’s Compassion, O Beloved, Come!

Ignite the fire of wisdom in my Soul,

Erasing a dark tunnel of countless sorrows.

O Bird of Light, O Spirit of Infinity’s Delight,

This loving parent on bended knees,

Recognises Your blessings,

Even in the depths of despair.

Even so, my Sweet One, Grace allowing,

Remove this furnace of anxiety within my mind;

For Love’s sake,

For the sake of Your ever-transcending Potter,

Free the afflicted from our shadows.

Take away our pangs of darkness;

Making it easier to endure, or receive supernal Bliss.

      Thank you, Chitrangada.

      Thank you for your Hub on my favourite singers, too. The ageless and timeless Souls, singing birthless and deathless songs. I appreciate your beautiful heart.

      Excellent poem and you expressed it so beautifully!

      Acceptance is the key; it makes things easier.

      How practical!--and you said this so simply and effectively.

      Thanks for sharing another wonderful poem with us!

      I am considering a book Bro. Indeed I have been considering it for some time. What are your thoughts on the titles: Blossoms of The Heart; Wings of Infinity and Raindrops From Heaven? Much gratitude, much ..

      Well, my Sweet,

      We both were graced enough to grow up with the Bible. 'He that endureth to the end, shall be saved.' Do you remember this one. My Guru turned it and quite a few others of the Christ, into beautiful songs. They are quite heavenly.

      Infinite gratitude here and kindly return to the Pujaloy poem. I have asked something of you. Will be back later p.m. Love.

      Amen to the prayer! "Making it easier to endure," is my favorite phrase here. Thanks.

      You came, Elsie.

      I see only a good Spirit. Now you must believe this too, and continue the job of 'letting go.' Easier said than done. I know this, my loving Friend. Persevere with Faith. In Light and Love.

      My Dear Manatita, You always have just the right words for me. As I struggle through this period of my life with my daughter, not knowing what tomorrow will bring, I thank you for your words here. They are beautiful, comforting, and bring to my heart the blessed assurance that God is ever present and watching over my lovely daughter as she goes through this trying time. Thank you for these thoughts and your constant prayers.

      First of all, my Sweet.

      I seem to do a lot these days. I thought that I'd be able to take your poem and do the beautiful things I promised, but another week, perhaps, inshal'lah.

      Yes, I think that Bill feels so too. Thank you for the loving contribution, and as usual, have a great Sunday. Higher blessings.

      Acceptance is the key for my happiness....when I am one with the cosmic vibes, I am happy and at peace....and the opposite is true as well. But you said it much more beautifully, my friend.
