A Poem About Hope

Updated on August 4, 2011

Every time I close my eyes

you become so far away.

On the edge

I try to hang on

to let my dream be real

forget the past

and cast my burdens aside.

Fear consumes my time

moves me far

from where I want to be.

Faith leaves me

all the time

alone to wonder

and wait.

Many sacrifices line my path

wasted time clouds my mind

leaves me lost.

Misguided choices

find me here.

Trapped in darkness

I know no direction.

Without a plan

I drift away

wondering how to end

something that never was.

Beautiful poem. May "Faith" stay with you, so you always have inner strength.

We all have those times in our life that make us feel we are without hope, but hope is always there; a steady friend whether we see him or not. I voted this up and beautiful!

There is nothing worse than losing hope.

This is sad. Never stop hoping.
