A Poem- I have fallen
You can- You will!
There is dignity in surviving after you fall.
And strength when standing back up.
It is not about never falling down- It is about getting back up and trying again!
I have fallen,
I have dropped,
I have tumbled down,
And tripped when I tried to stand up.
I have fallen from grace,
Risen back up,
To regain my strength.
I have dropped to my knees,
Bowed my head in shame,
Joined my hands together,
And remembered how to pray.
I have tumbled from the top,
Taken the hard way down.
I created my own hell,
Without a doorway to get out.
I have tripped on my feet,
And landed face first in the ground,
Cloaked in humiliation,
I let my fears shut the world out.
There have been times I did not know,
Which way was up or which way was down.
So I crawled on the floor,
And became who it is I am now.
Even in the darkest of hours,
I found my strength to hold on,
And I fought through the pain and challenge,
To write the lyrics of my life’s song.
I have taken life’s poisons.
I have spiraled around.
I searched within my silence,
Before I discovered a way to make a sound.
I have fallen,
I have dropped.
I found my voice,
Now I am standing up.
Face the future, and let go of the past.

- I'm in No Mood to be Typical
As we are children, we often fear the different and aim to be ordinary. As a woman, I no longer hope for such, I aim for something bigger, I'm in no mood to be typical, a poem by H.C Porter.
