A Poem - Lost And Found
Is anything really lost, when you know right where it is?
I was lost and empty. Then you walked in.
I thought at first I'd found you,
And... Oh, my gosh! I had.
But you had looked around you,
And things were looking bad!
The time we spent out wandering
"False starts" and all the rest,
Had really had me pondering
How to find my love, the best?
You walked into that dining room
And looked around to see.
My heart did a big Kaboom!
When you walked so close to me.
You sat down at a table
And seemed waiting for someone.
I prayed as best I was able
That someone wouldn't come.
You saw me fervently praying
It touched your every part,
Then decided you'd be staying,
And that was our big start.
The "someone" didn't show,
You played lots with your food.
I saw your glances to know,
And judge my every mood.
I asked the waitress to deliver
A note that I had written,
She smiled. I started to quiver.
It said "With you I'm smitten."
I watched you as you read it,
You smiled, and blushed I'm sure.
I surely couldn't have said it,
But you looked happy and demure.
That was 50 years ago.
It seems like yesterday.
Hair once brown... turned to snow.
Thank God I learned to pray.

Love can be quite sneaky, for it can come in so many ways.

The love note: it doesn't have to be long, but it can be. All are sweet, even apologies (if they are needed.) One key may be frequency. See what you think here.
