A Poem: Missing Person: Reward Offered And Given

Updated on November 24, 2011

A lost love is more than the loss of the person, oh so much more....

~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~

There was sunshine on her face,

overflowing from inside.

There was warmth in her being,

which warmed when she approached.

There was love in her hugs,

which made them more than greeting or goodbye.

There was truth in her being,

which said more than words can convey.

There was; but now, gone,

parting was the thief of sunshine, warmth, love, and truth,

which memory alone cannot suffice.

This is very beautiful P! My favorite line:

"parting was the thief of sunshine, warmth, love, and truth,

      which memory alone cannot suffice"

      Gorgeous words. Voted up.

Beautifully written. Parting the thief, leaves the emptiness, a void that is hard to fill. Voted up and beautiful.

Yes very true! I have a friend that has been missing for 10 years, and I know he would love your poem! As well as a baby in my state that has been missing for 5 Months! Countless others all over the globe. Something I will never understand is why people vanish and disappear without a trace. :(
