A Poem: Thank You Daddy!

Updated on June 13, 2012

This is a simple, short poem for my Dad, Stan. He has worked hard his whole life to provide for his family. He prayed for me every day (and still does!) and taught me important, foundational truths as a child. I appreciate every effort he's ever put towards loving me!

They call him "Stan the Man."

His family is his greatest fan.

Hard working hands,

Throughout time's many sands,

Building a legacy in a heavenly land.

"Stan the Man" made a way so "others can."

Merry Christmas Dad!

Love, Jenna

Check out poems I wrote for my other amazing family members!

Grandma: “A Poem for Mimi”

Mom: “Who Else is Like My Mom? A Poem of Appreciation”

Sister: “The Sweetest Sister Ever: A Poem for Amy

Brother-in-Law: “A Haiku for Joe"

Niece: “A Haiku for Myah”

Brother: “A Haiku for David”

***This is not a poem, but a biographical account of a historical father--I consider GEORGE MULLER of Bristol, England to be like a father because the life that he lived has changed mine. @ Dream On: Thank you. Yes, it can be a challenge sometimes to know the best way to express gratitude so I thought a poem would be a unique way to do it. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

What's nicer than a dad who has been providing and helping every step of the way.A daughter who loves her dad so much that she puts her feelings into words so dad can see what a wonderful job he has done.I just love it.

@ alocsin: Thanks! I think he liked it. He's kinda the quiet, laid-back type so hard to read his emotion sometimes--but I'm pretty sure he liked it. :-) Thanks for your comment!
