The Charge Of The Light is my second submission to the poem, Spirits sat as mourners by Frank Atanacio for the April Poetry Month challenge.

Spirits Sat As Mourners (April Poetry Month Challenge By Frank Atanacio) Poem About Death.

The Charge Of The Light

© By J. Alexis-Hagues 06/04/2014

Come the day, a debt to pay

A soul pawned, a line drawn

The final hour, sound the tower

Darkness and light the eternal fight

He gave his soul to save others

Found in death, all men are brothers

As the Sentinel sounds the alarm

The sacred lamb reached out his arm

The Light

The Sentinel

Very thought provoking. I like the fluidity in the style, very clean. This is my favorite line: "He gave his soul to save others

Found in death, all men are brothers"

Beautiful! You poetically rescued this lost soul. I don't know what he had don't but he was really getting the worst of it. We had all but written him off but no, not you. A perfect write.

Hi Faith, I hope you had a wonderful time with the family over the weekend, those times are special. Yes, I decided to write one more poem, a bit lighter this time.

It was such a hassle trying to link the poems, I simply gave up trying. You're right about the size of this challenge, what a great response!

Glad you liked my final submission, thank you for all the sharing, take care and my very best to you as always.

Brilliant, Jo, so profound! I am so glad you entered another submission and what a contribution here indeed.

I had to stop the links after two hubs after mine, and I added the two after my hub, as I entered a bit later than others, and I did not know exactly who published first after I did, so I link the two. That will have to be it for me too on the linking as this if growing so huge!!!

I have been sharing all that I have read, so I do hope the word is getting out!

I am sorry I am late, but the grands are back at their home now, so I am trying to catch up a bit.

      Amazing poem!

Up and more, tweeting, pinning and sharing this one too, of course!

      Blessings,

      Faith Reaper
