A Poem: Tribute to the Earth in Winter

Updated on November 11, 2011
Honouring the seasons
Honouring the seasons

She grounds me to the earth below,

the womb of all, does she sow.

The warmth has been replaced with cold,

A new season begins as in days of old.

She produces naught as the wheel does turn,

Once again, your heart will yearn.

For we are in the dark of night,

Honoring the mother in the fire-light.
