My #20 for National Poetry Month

clutch of words

strung on gray silk

between your mouth

my ear

distance nubs thread

pushing small poems

off with the breath of consonants.

trailing in dirt.

Thank you Rasma! Not sure that I have anything really down-- writing feels a bit like stealing from thin air though

The difference between what says (or meant to) and what is heart can be so great, and communication can fragment or bind fragile relationships.

"Strung on gray silk...trailing in dirt" Imagery reminds me of "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. Very nice. poem.

Here's a compliment I've never given you...oftentimes, after I read one of your poems, the words, or a phrase, will stay with me throughout the day, and I'll still be kicking it around into the evening.

      Now that is impact!

"trailing in dirt" Wow...this makes me ponder breaks in communication in my own relationships. Sometimes one misplaced word and your world will tilt. Jamie

I liked the illustration of a wandering feather with no home. Nice words written upon the page, my friend. Blessings. whonu
