A Sad Girl's Blues

Updated on July 6, 2011

I walk into a bar and all eyes on me

I walk with swag for all ‘em boys to see

Straight ahead sits the one I came to hear

A juke box and a sad girl blue I endear

Yea that’s right I said a sad girls blue

I grab a beer and I snap my fingers to

I asked “Give me just one reason” why

I shouldn’t march out that door goodbye

No reason he spoke to say don’t go

As I stand and puff on my cig and blow

Your chance you had to hold and keep

Your lips sealed so tight not even a peep

So I tilted my hat to ya and said so long

Baby, you’ll realize where you badly went wrong

You let me walk the cold concrete floor

I left without looking back out the front door

I sing my sad girl blues as I sit and think

You threw it all away with your eye blink

It’s what you wanted a choice that was made

Just know my mental picture of you will fade

No broken heart to mend I cut all ties

No tears left for this sad girl to cry

Another shot into the glass please make it rum

My dear Tracy plucks the guitar string and strum

Sweetie, Thank you a bit very little ;)

Shy, I love the blues genre in music but not emotionally. But I think my character was kind not looking back and felt hey it was his loss not hers ;) thanks for stopping by.

Sad poem, bella. I've never been too fond of the blues myself. But, the old juke box sure can help one vent when they need to, can't it? : )

Sad girls sing the blues so well. And when they move on it is with a strut that says, "You are going to miss this." You wrote it well Bella, very well.
