Taking Care Of His Flock- a poem

The Gospel of Matthew in chapter 18, verse 12 states,

"How think ye? If a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which has gone astray?

(King James Version, Touch Bible for Kindle)

In the book of Revelation, chapter 3, verse 20, John penned Jesus words:

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him and will sup with him, and he with me."

(King James Version, Touch Bible for Kindle)

We can never be lost

And we can never go astray

If we become the friend to

The One who shares

Our joys, and our pain.

The One who cares

Of how you will follow.

He is a brother

He is a lover and friend.

His friendship is cherished by all

Who walks in His ways and

Who is the Open Door.

If you follow this Shepherd,

You will be grazing on

The eternal land,

But should you become lost,

This Shepherd will leave

The ninety nine to go after

The one,

And carry the sheep

That was lost

Safe to Home.
