A Step Away from the Cold Night

Updated on October 18, 2010

Oh dweller in the night

why jump at shadows

as you do?

Why not strike fire and cuddle up with friendships

due you for that which you do?

the world is ripe for happiness

Those who helpĀ and serveĀ

freely are happy

and pain free

They who lock themselves

in their own abyss

are in a hell without escape.

Believe and know

I know where in I speak

The scars on my heart

bear witness to that fact

but no more

and I won't go back

come with then and be free

the light strike

will follow you.

Only the best of hearts can truly relate to this. I became free when as a young man I lost all fear of that dark.
