Life in suspension!

Updated on September 10, 2014

A new comer on all occasions

except on household chores;

Am I

in or out?

There’s room for activities

none for recreation;

Consultation

on crucial matters

sans me,

incredible

conviction in my credibility

quite unbelievable;

Nostalgic feelings

drawing me to parents,

duty summoning me to in-laws,

Neither here nor there,

Is it the plight

of all my breed?!

      sujaya, I don't know much about the plight of the other womenfolk of the world but I can very much empathize with the Indian women who I have watched and studied so closely. Your question " Is it the plight of all my breed ?" is very poignant and relevant. Great poem. Voted up.
