A Train Bound For No Where

Updated on August 7, 2013

Look Carefully

In life we make constant choices

I like to think of them as steps instead of good or bad

We can learn more sometimes from the wrong choice than a good one

So even our bad choices can turn out good

If we look at our life as steps it is so much easier

We either step up or step down

We can go to the left or the right

Forward or back

Either way we have to step

If we stay where we are life will pass us by

Like a blade of grass on the highway

Standing tall but strong but will never move along

Just there for all to see as everyone else comes and goes

In my life I have gone in many different directions

Too many times I tried doing it all at once

I end up back where I started and wondering why?

Now years later It dawned on me

It's like I know I wanted to travel but not sure where I wanted to go

So I hopped on the train and kept my eyes peeled

Looking for something exciting that would take me where I wanted to be

Instead of thinking a little longer and harder where my passion in life lies

That would of saved me a lot of trouble and aggrivation along the way

I wouldn't of traveled in circles and found myself back in the same spot today

Life is filled with lessons

Life is chock full of fun

If we combine the both of them

We can always be on the run

Take the time to decide in what direction

Each direction is a better choice than standing still

Instead of doing what I have done

Think more and find out your real desires and joys

Stop letting others guide you in a trip you did not want to take

When you arrive at a place unfamiliar and a bit scarey

Don't worry after awhile it won't be that bad or you will be smart enough to move along

Who knows you might have found your dream and now are very happy and content

Share your story with other people who want to listen

Hoping they also may find

Their world not so perfect but so kind

picklesandrufus Sometimes I feel I am in the right place at the wrong time or the other way around.Other people around me don't seem to care what direction they are heading so I quietly leave with a friendly goodbye and off to see my world that calls out my name from a whisper in the wind or a moon that shines so bright in the night.Thanx for reading and sharing.Hope all is well.Have a wonderful evening.

Life really is filled with lessons, isn't it? Following ones passion is sometimes harder than it seems, but worth the effort, I believe. Enjoyed your hub!

An interesting take on how to move though our life journey. The lesson being to just keep moving. Voted up and useful.

I love this! It resonates with me on a very deep level. I have gone nowhere many times, and I have also traveled without planning much. Life is a journey, but it can be better if we take opportunities, and do what we love.

Thanks for sharing this with us.

      Voted up and sharing.

      Have a nice day!
