A Tribute To A Long Known But Seldom Discussed Phenomenom.-

Updated on April 17, 2010

I made a

it was as if
a 300 watt
light bulb
went on
not over

my head
but all

around the
lady in front

of me
and I realized
after several

more days
of concentrated studies
amidst crowds

of people
selecting only
women who qualified
for subjection

to my scrutiny
that my discovery

was sound
\ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ /
Pregnant women emit a glow
/ \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \
a warm, healthy,

happy corona
like the ring

that encircles
a harvest moon

so brightly
maybe it is only
due to the fact
that they are
now the recipients
of two auras,

one pure
emerging from

a stainless
unborn creation
which shines like
unflawed diamonds
and blending with

the multi-colors
of the mom-to-be's

halo of life.

but it is a

mark of glory
an indescribable effect
impossible at best
to duplicate in oils
on any gesso-

covered canvas
as well it shoud be
for each carries the seed
of mankinds future
times all the

women who's wombs
bear the fruits of gifts
sent in honor

 of tommorrows
like many mothers

before her
the possibilities are
staggering, and profound
for it was in

this same manner
that we were granted
Jesus, Mother Theresa
Rembrandt, Bach,
Clara Barton,
Lincoln, Einstien
Edison, Fred Astaire
and Ginger Rogers,
as well as

thousands of major

and minor
contributors ]

to society
all coming down
the same

types of canals
tunneling with labor
to the bright

light of birth
in a seperation

of auras
for the

continuation of
the species
it's no wonder that
\ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ /
pregnant women
/ \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \
\ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ /
 emit   a  glow
/ \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \

they carry a torch
for what's yet to come

I never thought about the "why's" of it, but your theory makes a great deal of sense. Good intuitive insights.
