Samuel Malik Canty: the Word Bird. I am the author of Four Poetry Books, I understand my Purpose, and my words are my proof...

Native American

You have always been a Proud People with a rich heritage that no one could persuade you or force you to abandon…

You were in tune with nature and the spirit world…

You worshiped your ancestors, loved and cherished the land and all Mother Earth had to offer…

Though you were forced to live on Reservations, and slaughtered by the millions, you never stopped believing that the Great Spirit would return you to a time of Peace and Tranquility…

Native Americans so many of your tribes were decimated, annihilated by those who just didn’t or refuse to understand that all you ever wanted was peace throughout the land.

Native Americans history books have mis-fed many into thinking that you were unfit and had to be trained and restrained in order to become civilized.

You were never a savage as some history books falsely claimed…

By nature you are a peaceful people who have been given modern trinkets dripping with the blood of those who were slaughtered in the name of progress for others.

Native Americans your True Stories remain in the hearts and memories of those who couldn’t be bought by modernization, who were driven by force to the Hills and Reservations...

Native Americans the Great Spirit Rest For Reasons…

No matter how many centuries have passed or tribes decimated, your Return to Peace and Harmony with the Earth is Imminent…

Beautiful. Looks like this has become a word I'll commomly use to describe your works lol but it truly is...

My favorite group of people in all the world - yes they were very peaceful and so trusting - never thinking they would be decieved, used, slaughtered... So sad, so sad...

My heart will always go out to NATIVE AMERICANS, with love, not hate, in truth, not lies...

God bless them and God bless you Poetic Word Bird for dedicating this hub in their honor.
