Love is Always Sweet

Love is always sweet, so sweet. Remembrance is a beauty without parallel.

Sacrifice is the great gift of Mom to her beloved ones.

Even though occasionally bearing the crosses of ingratitude, she

remains unyielding, selfless, and with a bleeding heart, gives her all.

Dedication to my Mom on Mothering Sunday

Inside the womb I felt your pain,

Watched you prepare amidst the strain.

Your precious baby here to bring,

Enabling your heart to sing,

With silent tears from deep within.

“I hear you, son, my mother smiled,

For quite awhile I surely toiled.

‘Twas sweet seventeen, hardly the time,

To feel the heartbeat of your ‘chime.’

My several trials weathered well,

So many storms I had to quell!”

“Endowed with kindness, sweetness; Life,

And many strengths to cope with strife.

Gaiety fun exuded so,

Say: ‘just as well’’ you needed more.”

“Seven children to upkeep,

I swear I even planned in sleep!

Still, God is good and all is well,

Didn’t you children all do swell?

Initial sorrows; marriage long,

Near fifty years, remained quite strong.

Toiled in a market many a day,

Brought up you kids the loving way.”

My mother smiled and went away,

We’d speak again some other day.

Selfless without, sacrifice within,

Without complaints; much patience seen.

And when she passed at seventy seven,

I swear some angels came from heaven!

A life lived well, thus when she died.

I at her casket, sang and cried.

The Madness of Sweet Surrender

A Fleeting taste of Mother’s Will,

Abundant joy within I feel.

Celestial harps inside me thrills,

Sweet bliss above my spirit feels.

A mirror is now full of love,

A car, a tree, a leaf; a dove.

Sweet ecstasy all where I see,

Now in this nectar-laden sea.

O Fountain, rich in Light-Delight,

Pervade this Earth, let’s all feel bright.

Rain down Ambrosia to the core,

Above, within, and here below.

Drunk deep of such immortal peace,

My madness fain I’m loathe to leave.

I feel such power, Light and Love,

I play and dance and fly above.

O Mother Sweet celestial glow,

You take my burden; lends Your flow,

Serene and tranquil you have made,

A Soul who in Your Grandeur bathe.

Intoxicate this blissful glee,

Sweet lashings Your Infinity.
