A Twilight Saga: What's a girl to do?

Updated on May 7, 2011

Auntie Fee- here to help solve your dating and relationship problems

Dear devoted readers. Welcome to my relationship and dating advice column. I hope you can take something from todays relationship issue submitted to myself by a young Miss Swanly.

"Dear Auntie grace,

I have been in a difficult situation for a couple of years now. My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 years and although I am completely and irrevokably in love with him, I can't deny that our relationship has it's "complications". You see my boyfriend, although being a lovely man of impeccable manners and good old fashioned chivalry, is a blood sucking fiend. But I know that love is the most important thing in a relationship, and I don't doubt his committment to me. I know you will think I sound like a sensible girl, but the truth is I'm not. I have done a foolish thing- I have fallen in love with my best friend- well he's a giant hound really. I just don't know what to do- I love them both! I But I do know that I cannot be without my boyfriend. It's not just his fiendish good- looks or his lust for my blood (although that is flattering of course), nor is it the way that life- threatening danger only finds me when I'm with him...though that obviousely keeps things interesting...

You see the real issue is this. My boyfriend will never age. He will be stuck in that akward stage of puberty forever- and me? My time is almost up! I'm 18 and not getting any younger- my time could be up any minute!! Thats my only problem with dating a blood sucking, murdering vampire- well obviousely besides that he's just dreamy....But you see the problem is that I quite fancy the wolf too- well who wouldn't?? He's packing more meat then the beef section at morrisons!

Oh, I just don't know what to do. They're both ideal boyfriends, but they're both so violently jealous. I have to make a decision....

What should I do Aunty grace?

Hopefully waiting for your help,

Miss Swanly"

Well Miss Swanly,

First of all don't get to tightly wound about this whole thing. Any girl can understand where you're coming from. Which of us hasn't had to choose between the Vampire she is dating and the Werewolf she has used and lead onbefore accidentaly falling in love with? Unfortunately this is a story we hear everyday. Girl meets vampire, girl falls in love with vampire, werewolf falls in love with girl- jealous war ensues between vampire and werewolf. The thing is Miss Swanly, you're going to have to make a choice sooner or later about what you want. Do you want to spend the rest of your life curled up with an ice cube, or, a hairy beast? It's a tough call, and every girl out there knows your pain. Another thing to consider is the kind of life you want to have, the opportunies you will want in future. Do you want to have a family and grow old gracefuly- then the cold one probably isn't your best choice. On the other hand, you can have puppies with the hound. However, this whole 'complete and irrevocable' love thing you talk about...makes it seem like your heart has already made it's choice.

Whatever happens, do the thing which will best insure your happiness and safety. All the best Miss Swanly.

Aunty Grace

Haha, that was fun to read. :)

I really enjoyed it, maybe try it with some other characters from other books as well? Or maybe even movies.

If this is for real, drop them both and seek God He will direct you to a boyfriend who is more god-like. If this is for real, I fear for you.
