A View From The Inside
Who Are We ?
Every day we see each other in clear view
We talk and interact on a daily basis
I wonder if we really know someone ?
Are they who they say they are ?
Are we hiding behind our fears and insecurities
Revealing only what we want others to think
What if we could know a persons true feelings at all times
Would we be happier knowing someones real intent ?
Each feeling could never be hidden
No one would lie because everyone would instantly know
Then they would not be trusted and people would keep their distance
What a changed world we all could be part of
You would know if someone was up to know good
Their personality and flaws would shine like a torch in the middle of the night
Would this cause less or more trouble among friends and family
All white lies would have no place
Honesty would trickle from one person to another
As easy as shaking hands
We would all be stark naked
Where each thought would be pure
Untouched
A gift or a curse
It's to early to be sure

You give us a lot to think about Dream On. Good read! thanks
I think it's so important to be sensitive toward other people's feelings especially when it comes to family and friends.
No, I don't think it is wishful thinking to think most people want to do good. I think the issue is that most people do sincerely have good intentions, but we're all human and we all have our own insecurities, doubts, worries, etc. It's easy to forget to look at things from another person's perspective. It's easy to have good intentions to reach out to someone and then not do it because of other priorities - when maybe people should be among the first priorities, especially those we already hold near and dear. In this way, much heartbreak could either be avoided or lessened.
Hmmm, your line about nakedness may sum it up. We would rather not see the vast majority of people that way. You do provide some intriguing ideas.
Yes, sadly, they probably do talk about you too. You know the saying. . .those that gossip to you will gossip about you. I try to avoid those people, at least in getting close to them, but I've been burned before just as most people have. As for loving with all our hearts, that's not a bad thing; it's a reflection of who you are. Sometimes others are deceivers from the start and sometimes we choose to ignore the signs for whatever reasons and deceive ourselves.
I happen to have an instant thought of people's feelings and of who they are I often know the kind of person I am dealing with right from the start. From the inside to the outside you have made a clear point here
I should be in bed, but instead I'm reading your hub.
What a thought! I don't think it's that hard to read another's feelings, though. Might take time observing someone and people in general, but one can usually tell when something is different about another if one truly cares enough to notice things like that. Then there is the matter of privacy and prying and such.
In general, though, I think it would be better to know definitively everyone's feelings rather than their thoughts. Some thoughts are meant to remain unspoken, as they are fleeting and may not reflect the true overall feeling toward a person or situation. Then again, I suppose emotions are much the same in that regard. . .
You've posed a thought provoking question, my friend.
