A Wonderful Merry Christmas Is On Its Way

Updated on December 25, 2012

Happiness Wrapped With One Big Bow

A day for everyone to celebrate in their own way

Seeing greeting cards hanging on the doors and the wall

A pile a snow for those who like the cold weather

A tree covered with ornaments and decorations

To bring out the beauty and the light

When the children get excited and the parents can relax with no work ,no stress

To finally get the rest they so deserve

Spending time with the family who make every day more special

Friends who create a world of laughter to explore

Lovers who have each other to hold and adore

Our pets who comfort us and pamper us with attention

May the spirit of love and peace be spread easily

Thanks to all the military who keep us safe

So that we can all have a ball

Yelling stop running in the house

Go outside and play

Have a piece of blueberry pie and a few cookies

On the phone calling and texting everyone we know

Thats my Christmas i like to share

One I think about often and that is so special in my heart

Each year I relive it and find ways to make it better

Loving life becomes easier than eating popcorn with lots and lots of butter

With so many people all over the world

This is one way I can touch you with my words

When this Christmas is coming to an end and we are all exhausted

Watching t.v. and listening to music of our favorite songs

We will always have the best memories to cherish with the love of my camera

Wrapping paper everywhere from all the gifts that were opened

Of Aunt Sue with her hand up saying no more pictures or cousin Joanne knocking over a drink on your lap

Me eating a second helping of candy carrots and one more pizzelli cookie

Someone saying a little more wine please

Thanking God for another healthy and happy day

Hugging my wife and giving her endless kisses under the mistle toe

Mom smiling at her her grandchildren and saying boy have they grown

Watching our cat play for hours with ribbon and climbing in and out of a cardboard box

Listening to all the different conversations when everyone talks at once

Seeing all the kids finally quiet because they are too tired to

To do anything but sleep

Heating up the car and it is time to finally go home

annart Life is always a surprise. There are so many good things that outshine the bad.But I think it is the mix from sad to happy that makes the whole family a little daffy.Another Christmas come and gone.It is the memories that are so special to me.Thanx for reading.

I like the way you get the chaos of it all as well as the love and laughter and the peace and the joy! It's very similar in our house in England, when all the children are here and make it feel like home. Great hub!

Mhatter99 Will do.I am glad you have wonderful times too.I left some things out when an occasional arguement takes place because of politics or something really stupid. Then there is a relative who never shows everyone always talks about. It is something family will talk about all year until the next time we meet. This year was milder than most. The kids just want money and computer games so they quickly leave and go to their rooms to play.Eating my way through I just relax and help with the clean up by picking up the dishes and have a third helping of custard pie.Hope your family is well and nobody raised to much hell. Thanx for reading.

Gee change the name and this sounds like my old Thanksgivings. Being born on Christmas, the big party was here. Thank you
