A Writer's Gratitude

Updated on November 24, 2012

Its odd to see...

I didn't plan...

scratch that, I'm amazed...

the distance a word can go...

I haven't coveted your eyes on me...

saying as I say...

knowing as I know...

and in the saying and knowing I was content...

if I offended, that was OK...

integrity was my intent...

to expiate demons...

share a thought or two...

knowing my thoughts are bent...

I would be lying to say I am not flattered...

though hoping my pen won't swerve for the feeling...

I imagine since you're here...

you at least have interest...

so I will write all the more...

hopefully your dreamer with an ear ...

but before I go long...

singing my song...

I take a moment to say...

Thank You.

I hope to although neither wit nor wisdom seem as important in reflection as they do to those without either.

It is nice to be appreciated and to reciprocate with more, even in hope of receiving more recognition.

I don't believe this is an inappropriate hope.

Here's hoping you continue to amaze us with your wit and wisdom.
