A Writer's Passion

Updated on April 9, 2017

The passion of poetry, words written from the heart,

So meaningful in their display, from their very start.

A conveyance of such devotion, words on the page,

Freely penned, from within, as wild birds flee a cage.

As the descriptive worded transition, in its message told,

Its loving parade of a written serenade, does then unfold.

Every parcel gathered from thoughts, all are found inside,

Never to quell any most eager passage, or to be satisfied.

When a person is hurt or to be so unhappy in their lives,

The expressiveness, gives a relief, this, as all so strives.

Just as in writing, or to state, gives lift to a heavy weight,

Burdens now gone, we may carry on, accepting our fate.

Every poetic submission, so reflective of our own intuition,

The fine beauty of this world around us, is so well defined.

The appropriate recognition, all of its special composition,

Presented so each may view, to absorb, and is well refined.

Our mind's thoughts flow freely...
Our mind's thoughts flow freely...

Thank you whonunu. You rival classical poets like Yeats, Shelley, or Blake with your rhyme and substance. jamie

I can go months, even years without writing poetry. Then suddenly, a first line jumps into my head and the rest flows. That's when I grab my pen and paper and write it down until I can refine it. I did this just the other day. I was inspired to write a poem for my mom to put inside her Mothers Day card.

Sometimes I get up from bed and write down an idea or an entire poem. If I don't, I may forget parts and try to maintain this. Thanks for stopping by. Blessings to you and family. whonu

I can always tell when I've had a stressful day, that's when I kill a villain off! It makes me feel 'right' with the world!

      Loved the poetry here.
