A locomotive brain is what you have

Updated on October 18, 2013

Only Money could buy such virtual disturbances

As the one you wish you hadn't seen over and over again like a broken record

As for the poor man he or she has no credibility

nor credentials to acquire such tooling

Yet they make the best out of it all

The scraps become their mainstay

as they learn to mend times hand together with mere mud

And Elmer’s glue if they can afford it

Let’s not speak about affordability

The darn thing isn’t fair at all

So when you take a glimpse into the eyes of any innovator on a low budget

Just stop and think about what they had to go through to over achieve

To truly conquer something known as an Obstacle

The world envies you only when you make it

They laugh and make fun of you when you’re down and out for the count

But when you stand tall and erect from out of the burning ashes like A true phoenix

The world shall admire you, for your temper is tamed and humble now

You have become one with "The All"

The world is now rotating on the axis of your finger tips

Because you are the “one” that inspired us all to lift up our own spirits

Out of artificially inseminated depression

For once fell victim to what is referred to as the “Trends” of Society

Aka Commercialism……………………….

@btrbell, yes indeed its sad but the necessary evil many of us all face due to technology and all of its many breakthroughs today, I just wish they could figure out a way to fix humanity with it all. You know!

Thanks for the comment, for voting and I'm so glad you liked my poem.

Very expressive. Wish I had a locomotive brain then I could get through everything I have to do each day so much faster.

@blondey, Success and true success is what helps make great families even better for sure. I would not complain if such a thing occurred for me and my family today.

Its being poor all my life that motivates me to strive to achieve greatness, and if and when I get there I will set a trend that's unstoppable, For sure! Darn Commercials!! :)

Thanks for reading my poem and commenting.

I love travelling by train, especially overnight ones, listening to the sound of the wheels as they go over culverts, and my husband was a great model railway enthusiast. Great poem.
