A new zest
Introduction to a new life – VIVAFIT
Last week of June, 2013 it was and for first time I heard about this Gym VIVAFIT - absolutely for ladies in our City Guwahati, Assam (in North East India). It is a brand from Portugal, Europe. Ms Swarnali has taken the franchise for this part of the country. It is a very righteous endeavour on her part for essentially the ladies of this city. I went to enquire about it on a lazy Sunday sundown as been informed by my hubby to go and join there as he was aware that I am a total health freak.
There I first met Joana, her complete name is Joana Lara Pacheco de Jesus - for us Joana. I had met Barsha (full name Barsha Baishya) with her as well. I have been scrupulously informed and to my utter satisfaction they had replied all my queries about the procedures they follow for weight loss and then maintaining the overall health of the members in Vivafit. I liked both of them instantly. Meeting Joana as an instructor was just like a cream on the cake which helped me to go ahead and enrol in the Gym the following month.
The new Zest being Joana and Sunshine is Sara:
Thus the journey started toward a more confident and happier life as Joana guided us through along with another Portuguese Instructor Sara Dias. It has been a life time experience to train with Joana and Sara. At first I was little apprehensive to think if my body at the age of 37 will be able to cope up with the encumbrance of the heavy work out pattern there under Joana and Sara. Before that also I used to work out incessantly but never under an instructor. I needed to drop weight to gain stamina and strength. Their systematic approach at the time of the admission about the entire history of the members and the aim including all minute details for joining the gym is highly appreciated. Though not aware about the other members, but I was quite particular about my aim to join in the gym. I needed to lose around 10kg weight including measurement lost around waist, thigh, hand etc as applicable to most of the ladies who are mothers in the age bracket of 35-45. I had little problem in my shoulder, back and knee areas. In the first introduction Joana was briefed about all my difficulties and aim. So from Tuesday, 9th of July, 2013 - I had started my class first day with Sara in Vivafit. It was a Pilates class and oh-do-not ask- me-the pain afterwards experience almost. It was like you cannot cry and you cannot laugh kind of a situation. Though, I liked the feel very much to be honest. Because I knew in my heart that at least I will be as I would always wanted to be actually. Then Joana and her never ending encouragement and guidance to pull a bit more every day for a newer me is a so-much-more-worth –taking- the –step ahead kind of attitude which was newly awaken in us. And rest is history happily as anticipated.
Vivafit - love living fit
The Sh’bm class was the one which I enjoy most. The Pilates and Body Vive are also the classes that helped us a lot to lose weight and be happier. Circuit is with the exclusively devised machines for women with platoforms class for whole body and abs which also is much enjoyed by all the members. Every night was like you wait for next morning as we go to attend the class and a step toward our goal. We step in the gym and the ever lively music swathe us into a soft cocoon with strong dream to be a new winning personality.
Bonding and new friends – the Vivafit way to a new you
The members are kind of a new found family in the gym. The laughter that we share is unlimited. The support system and encouragement is invigorating. Joana and Sara are always a source of big-time encouragement to all of us. They taught us to bond strong beyond limit. For me a quick way to be fond of my new friends Tazmina, Karuna, Alina, Liza, Ditti, Janvi and Poonam, Sudha, Aditi who left to other places now though it was something very refreshing. The group of members in the gym share a strong friendship which extended out to frequent dinners, lunches, outings, shopping spree and picnics as well. All used to be very friendly and form a strong bonding to a different level for entertainment and indulgence in life. All members are from different background but it’s a common goal that make us bond so fast and so strong. Another soothing effect is Barsha, the beautiful young receptionist who is very sweet to us and always full of smiles which is quite rejuvenating every morning.
Sunshine – that is Sara !!!!!!!!!
The wide smile to brighten our life was the amazing girl Sara Dias. She is from Portugal. The little time we got her to train us in Vivafit was a noteworthy occurrence. She has left for her country and must be busy in her life to move ahead. The medication classes, aerobics classes and all her endeavour to train us were exemplary in its own way. Sara even guided me for my diet list for a sustainable result in weight lost training. Sara loves to travel a lot and she almost saw as many places as she could cover around India and particularly Assam, in her little time that she could spare from her hectic schedule here. I do wish her all the very best to achieve what she calls happiness in coming years and its heart breaking to feel her absence in VIVAFIT here.
Zest of ever jubilant Joana :
Joana Jesus, a bundle of joy to be always. What a smile to wake us to the core every morning and never saw her once to be tired! Now as she left for her country and to her beloved family and friends on 13th of Dec, 2013 we all the members so much miss her in the Gym. Always when we use to enter and there she was sitting in her lappie in the table with a fantastic smile to greet us good morning with nice music playing in the back ground. She would notice every minute details and expressions of the members. A new pair of shoe, new work out dress, new hair style etc and nothing will escape the ever mindful notice of sweet Joana. Still I clearly remember the sweet but persistent voice of Joana, “I insist…you push more….you pull your leg more….you kiss your knees little more….I insist…”. She used to make us push little more where we never actually thought we could reach out while sweating it out in the gym. Mainly the Sh’bm class and Joana made us dance like never before with all our hearts out and it was such fun to enjoy. Some time ago I noticed her sketching in the Gym after the class and she can draw amazing. After Sara left on 27th of Oct, 2013 it was her effort to park up the moods of the depressed members and we all were so much happy that we have her with us. But after she left for her country we realized it’s never going to be like the time we passed with them.
At this young age Joana was very practical and matured to handle all different age group of ladies. The emotional bonding and the trust she had own was commendable. Apart from training in the Gym she even taught me on personal front with her majestic take on life. She was very sweet to mainly the children. The time I spent with her was very much enlightening and her way of life with her family and friends was a mind opening experience for me. She spent few nights with me and we used to talk late into the nights. Behind the girlish young smile there was a strong and matured lady and I wonder a lot about the differences we have been brought up with in the Indian conservative society. She wishes to travel and learn about life practical way and that is what she is sensibly doing. She is all very independent and full of never ending enthusiasm to achieve in life and be happy. My friend Karuna helped her with her wish to make Henna in both her hand. She was looking so beautiful in a sheer Indian way with her sparkling bright eyes.
The final class – 6.45 PM on 12th Dec, 2013:
It was heart breaking and to see her eyes little moistened in the beginning as she started with the class and I had to look different way to avoid tears from falling down. That class was like never before and we enjoyed to the best level possible. She did it little bit differently and it was our last Sh’bm class with Joana. We sweated out till we dropped and the relaxation phase was utterly beguiling as I was aware that it’s the end of life time experience almost. The experience was almost chocking with unshed tears. Then after the class Joana made her farewell speech slowly with broken voice. She had been trying not to break down in tears. And instead she made us cry with unstoppable tears. I fled to change my dress after wards. Then while biding Good bye she hugged me tightly and I could not stop my tears. I was pleading her to let me go as I did not wanted to show her my tears who taught us to be stronger in life. But hardly she might have aware what a difference she made in my life!!!
To Joana – with love!!!!
I wish her all the very best in coming times and really hats off to the dearest Mom and Father of the ever brightening Zest that is Joana for the way they brought her up!!!!! May God bless her with immense happiness, good health and prosperity ahead. I wish success to kiss her eyes to sparkle to the most dazzling tint to light up everywhere she will move. Big hug to you dear Joana…words will be always with lesser meanings to express precise feelings that are overflowing through my heart at this moment and always when I remember you – sure that is very often then you can actually realize. Take care and live life the way you wish evermore!!!
