A Quandary of Happiness

Updated on September 23, 2011

Where shall I go?

Where shall I turn?

To those who have given less

They would say I grumble

Perhaps I do

When my Father and I

Are captives of the same thought

And those who would blame me

For my misery, mine enemies

For it is their fault

That chains me to my fate

And their scarlet foot prints

I scrub from their mother's belly

For she is tired of them

So where shall I go

What shall I do

Every second of my day and night

Is coveted by life and death

To do what is necessary

Whether I like it or not

My path is set

I can not turn

Only trudge forward

I am sorry your way is hard.

Maybe we all have our crosses to bear.

I hope you find happiness at your journey's end.

I fully intend to do so, myself, by not shirking today what must be faced with courage and skill.
