A tale of a thousand years

Updated on May 29, 2009

Only at the darkest nights the sun will rise!

A tale of a thousand nights

I stare at the candles that face the fierce winds on a dark night

Its flames are manipulated easily like our fates shifted left and right

Butterflies of the night are intrigued by the glorious light

Like parasites that feed on our flesh and eat our right

NO more pessimism the sky is beautiful breath taking

The stars of our ancestors on this holly night are watching

The clarity is unrealistic so pure like a morning dove newly hatched

On a night when all the planets line up, the feeling is no match

The mist of the moon carries a pure soul descending from the glamorous heaven

With its bright wings so fascinating redeeming all souls that are forsaken

It flies by my fragile bones and takes a glance , and waves me hi

Was I dreaming? Even a dream wont be so sweet, for the angel looked me in the eye

The beauty of her soul smothers me and for the first time I breath

I stare mouth open wide unable to believe my eyes, amazement unable to seize

Its jade blue eyes filled my heart and soul with hope

It forced me to rethink of my actions and discard the rope

That rope that I carried in my hand so tight

That ending that I thought was doing what’s right

It descended, came closer with its arms open wide

Hugged me wholeheartedly, a moment of truth that I couldn’t hide

I shed a lonely tear that soon turns to a river

She pressed me to her chest held on further

I felt her heart beat accelerate as she drowned of the misery

She pat me on the head , held my hand and said “Don’t worry”!

I cried my lungs out like I never did before

I felt her hand on my heart peace and tranquility pour

The angel muttered no more tears my child no tears

You cry every night but know that up there some one hears

The wind patted my face this time so sweet

It brought to my cold stone heart some heat

It felt like I have gone to heaven

And had all my sins forgiven

She pointed again at my heart touched it gently

It beat for the first time in my life willingly

The night lasted a thousand and more years

It gave me hope and vanquished all my fears

Only at the darkest nights, the sun will rise
Only at the darkest nights, the sun will rise

Ralwus my friend, sometimes you do find these angels within your family members especially with their support and concern. By time you learn to open up and share what lurks deep down inside. THe key is to know who to trust and to let it all flow out. Having someone by your side can help in the healing process. :D i guess same applies here :D

Hi Cris again (LOL) and yeh thanks for the support and the comments . _It seems like you are always the first and the only one to stop by (lol). Btw, i simply forgot to put the mosquitoes in the poem for they sure bit the hell out of me :SS: (lolool) but yeah it was a dark night in the garden with candles that inspired the poem. Sorry about the title man,you know what you can use it . It is not like it is copyrighted LOL ..The sky is NOT the limit my friend. About the avatar it is a screen capture from a movie about Werewolves i watched a couple of days ago (underworld 3) Great movie , when the moon appears the Werewolf changes what a great moment...You might want to check it out.. :D
