About the words

The words have been around

Many hundreds of years.

They've been used and abused.

One may think they lost meaning,

Or maybe decreased in power,

Through the seasons been obsolete,

Some other time back in fashion,

They have been applauded,

They have been ridiculed.

Someone even suggested

They're so far from reality,

They should only be in books.

True, they were declaimed on stage,

Also showed off on the big screen,

Dancing on sheet music,

As well as on the air.

Wait a second, they are in the air...

The singer couldn't say the words,

So he wrote them down in a song.

But without words, there is no song,

There is no life, there is no world,

There's no humanity.

Even animal friends,

We know can't say the words

Many a time teach us

What those words really mean.

So now, my dearest friend,

Whatever people think

Of words I will tell you,

They are as pure and fresh today

As iced water from a glacier.

I won't hold back any longer

The words which for a little time

Wanted to come out of my heart :

I love you...

Human beings exchange ideas and feelings through words. Words make the world go round. The ability to communicate makes the human species the highest form of life.

      Great read!!!! Loved it!!!
