Acceptance and Solutions

Both Sides Now - Joni Mitchell

I've looked at life from both sides now,

From WIN and LOSE, and still somehow

It's life's illusions I recall.

I really don't know life at all.

- Both Sides Now, Joni Mitchell

This song was one of the lullabies my Mom sung to me when I was small.

You have to laugh at yourself

Or you'll just keep on crying

The last moment is not you now

Don't worry about past problems

Happiness is so essential

It is what all we humans share

The desire to sustain the joyful

Challenges can make us better

Can't dwell upon your troubles

All humans have had rough parts

That question on which to focus

What solutions have you found?

You must take in acceptance

Like Time, you must continue on

That we should gather wisdom

And teach the children.

first of all, that picture of the mountain is completely breath taking... and secondly, Being happy is essential. your right we shouldn't dwell on troubles. somehow we have to make that goal a reality. with practice maybe we will.

      beautiful poem.

Thank you for a beautiful reminder. It is a good place to end my day. I'll go to bed in peace. There is enough trouble for tomorrow. I don't need to take any with me.

      Morning Moira.

Looking at your photo on this very frosty morning makes me feel warm.

Your words are a reminder that there are enough troubles waiting for us without worrying about the troubles behind us.

      Lovely poem.

      Take care Moira.

Thank you for your comment jessica.written, and I'm also glad you liked the poem. Yes, it does take practice but afterwards it becomes a habit.

You're welcome WD curry 111 and thanks for dropping by and sharing a comment. Love your attitude and the way you expressed it, we definitely don't need to take our troubles with us as we hunker down for some rest and sleep.
