Accidental Pictures - Disturbed in the Head

Updated on January 29, 2014

Pictures Inside My Eyes

Eyes are shut against the pain

But, in rest, lies only distraction.

Pictures inside my eyes will not give the calm I wish to have.

Brilliant blue

purple and red

Shadows of black

Crickets doing acrobatics overhead.

Two people hugging

Look at the heart.

Somewhere in the background

A dog wants to take part.

Here he comes jumping on a pogo stick.

His tongue, no wait, a snake, hanging out of his mouth.

The snake sneaks across the inside of my eyes.

A lion roars.

Someone plays drums.

This is a place where I feel brave.

Up in the sky

Is it a bird or a plane?

No, just pink paratroopers taking a dive.

Cows are dancing

Wearing their fancy clothes and swimming with dolphins.

The dolphins all have green teeth and

Sport Princess Diana tattoos.

A sniper shoots jelly

From the shore.

A boat sinks in the middle

of the hardware store.

Calm and rest,

The elusive golden rings

Just out of reach

For the accident stole the peace.

Wow, what an interesting poem, like no other for sure! I do not think I would feel any clam either when my eyes were closed and saw such things.

      Blessings,

      Faith Reaper

Interesting poem, and very interesting friendship of the dolphin and the cow:). I hope you sleep more restfully tonight.

Thanks, Faith and Grand Old Lady, for reading and commenting. These vivid pictures are getting fewer as time goes by.

Sometimes I have weird dreams like this. I would compare this poem to the story of Alice in Wonderland. You never know what you sill see next.

Thanks, Teaches, for reading. They weren't exactly dreams. I was awake and aware. The mind is a complex thing.
