Add A Little Pep To Your Step

Updated on November 4, 2011

Is'nt It Time We Move Our Keesters

It is all too easy to sit behind a computer and type

When I should be out walking

Instead I find ways to keep talking

I avoid the truth

I rather be lazy than be exercising like crazy

I know it is good to work up a sweat

Even though I chose to eat a snack and relax my head back

When I close my eyes I think of all the things I could do

Instead I turn on the t.v. to see what's on

Oh another exercise program telling us what is good for us

If I stay here I can sleep the day away

How bad could it be to have a reality check ?

Put back the ice cream you took out to defrost

Get out that door before you lose your nerve

Move those legs as fast as they can go

You have to think about better health

I am not asking you to turn into a fitness expert

Just feel the body that is only yours

It won't be the end of the world

When your bones ache and you say ouch that hurts

You will be home soon enough to eat the chocolate cake with nuts

Well at least you have started to get in shape little by little

Good things take time and you did just fine

Next time you can do better and have strawberries and whipped cream waiting

For you as a reward for all your hard work

So don't stop now you are on a roll

Up up and a way we go

Walking is something we can do often and take it slow

Dim Flaxenwick You can walk around the mall or get plenty of exercise walking up and down the grocery store isles. You are so close.I can see your heart beating and I love the way you pump your arms and the nice stride you have when you walk.Thanx for loving my bits and pieces of life scattered on every shore.I keep washing up on the sand and then hours later out with the tide again.See you next time around.

Mary615 Even if we don't get moving just yet thinking about it helps. The more we think the more likely we will do.Dim Flaxenwick For now you have a temperary pass Like a get out walking pass.If you pass go you can't collect two hundred dollars.A litte monopoly humor. While you wait you have to spend twice the time reading about exercise in any book you want. You get to understand the importantance of the mind and the body working as one.Who wouldn't to free up some time when their healthy and just walk. For now you can talk the talk but soon you will have to walk the walk.Hope you are feeling fine and chipper real soon.Thanx everyone for reading.
