Afternoon on the highway (Tragic Poetry)

Updated on April 12, 2013

The highway seems crowded
Thick is the air
People drive only thinking
Their wants and cares

large truck moves over
Seeing no way through
cars turn to avoid it
Then havoc ensues

one car strikes another
Then into a truck
that spins uncontrolled
under a semi it tucks

the big truck jackknifes
it's loud airbrakes wail
then one more compact
into this mess sailed

striking the first car;
then over the wall
To the tracks below
this one last car falls

when thought its owners
the horror over would be
now comes an express train
the last thing they'll see

Thanks so much, Hello, it wasn't really about the poem, it was about how much I could spend to have it viewed and voted on. money, no votes...glad to be here and focusing back on writing.
