Alive with Intent

By Tony DeLorger © 2011

Alive with intent,

brave in undertaking,

I move to honour my wants,

my believed direction.

Neither obvious,

nor covert,

my actions follow

a heart imbued with right,

following the course

on my desires.

I grasp that which

propels my journey,

enlivens my soul,

and inspires my heart

with fulfilment.

Wherever my path takes me,

I know

it is my journey

alone,

my knowledge to glean.

Whatever souls I meet,

I rest in the knowledge

that they are

my souls company,

their steps

imprint upon mine,

and a life shared,

is a sweet gift.

That's really a piece of art and i dont have words to explain the beauty of this piece of mind. A beautiful poem.

      alone,

      my knowledge to glean.

      Whatever souls I meet,

      I rest in the knowledge

So true. I really like your poems. :). As I heard in life there is only you, the challenge and the thin line. You may fall off many times, but the thing is to get back and try again.

I like one of the Rilke's poems:

I live my life in widening circles

that reach out across the world.

I may not complete this last one

but I give myself to it.

I circle around God, around the primordial tower.

I’ve been circling for thousands of years

      and I still don’t know: am I a falcon,

a storm, or a great song?
