I am alone. A victim... Forced to stand alone to fight for what is right. No longer able to tell my darkest nights from brightest days. I aM alone. I am home

By the way Marlene... Neither of us are married, or in a formal relationship... Which does add to the mutual frustration being experienced... Darn circumstances.

~ Everybody has circumstances influencing their desires, and whether they can be obtained... Some circumstances just can't be conquered with justifiable reasons as to why they can't be conquered... Yet it doesn't change the conditions suffered from... Some of us just can't fake it, at the expense of others, in order to prevent or cure their feeling of being alone... Damn circumstances !

Oh Marlene,,, I wish it was a seasonal ailment... Yet the truth is that it will be a lifelong condition... Always that one on my mind, knowing that I am on her mind, forever leaving us ultimately alone without each other...

Are you feeling any better:) During the holidays, some people feel it more than others. I think it's seasonal affective disorder.

My poem was simply a statement of how we always have somebody on our mind... Somebody we know that we are always on their mind... And until the minds meet?... We are alone. Sharing a silent sense of loneliness.

"We are never alone....even though we'd like to be"....some true words from a song. We are never truly alone....when we feel that way, we are longing for a physical sense of ending the loneliness. And your poem states that indirectly.....

It is nice to see that being alone is working out for you... I believe people need to do what works for them... Just as long as they do not believe that their methods have to work of everyone...

I like being alone, someone once told me, that if you don't like being alone, then you don't like yourself. I am content and satisfied with my self. If you can't enjoy your on company(self) - then you are alone and lonely. I am a thinker, always have things to do, pets keep me busy. I enjoy my own company. There is a difference between being lonely and alone. Sometimes it is like meditation (I'm a 1970's so called little hippy at 16, good ole day, use to do yoga, sports, maxi dresses, pasley shirts, beatles music, etc.) Yes, one can meditate with others. I consider my thinking as basically, mediatation. This stuff is becoming popular, history does repeat itself. Peace

onesmallvoice?,,, I am pretty sure one needs to actually be alone either physically, spiritually, mentally in order to actually feel alone... So I am not sure how to your interpret your analogy there... & I would never trivialize the importance of my friends being with me, sharing with me.. But I will certainly agree that nothing can compare against the feeling of being with the one who one truly desires to be with... Thanks for stopping by!

I'm not lonely, just alone, no relations, have plenty of people, friends, acquientances to talk to and visit when I want to.., I have taken chances, and do not want to settle for anyone/thing less then what I deserve at my age, and the new cycle of my life at the moment. I have had many chapters in my life, good, sad, happy, etc. So, the present chapter of my life is learning to take care of myself first. Still learning something new everyday. :)

Feeling alone can be so much stronger than being alone. Feeling alone can make all the company in the world seem trivial compared to the person you would really rather be spending time with.

Nothing ventured nothing gained but regrets Wendy... It is lifes ultimate catch 22... To settle is to cheat those involved... To never settle is to never know... Chances must be taken to achieve happiness..

I like being alone, it's easy... although I would love to be with someone else who feels alone or lonely. but it is a risk. Have dogs and a cat and neighbors, but I wonder what it would be like if someone really, truly loved me for me and not just for physical contact.

Thank You Marlene... And my sincerest apologies for the delay in recognizing your kind consideration shared here... It truly is the worst feeling in the world, in being alone... I have felt it... It is not pleasant at all.

Haha.... It's good that we don't have control of our own destiny.... You will ruin yourself!

And knowing that someone else is lonely too, shouldn't that take away our loneliness? Someone else is accompanying you in this feeling....... :)

My thought is that it is starting to feel awfully lonely in here...

Knowing that somebody is awfully lonely out there...

What a shitty destiny that is... grrrrrrrrrrr

Yes it does.. At least for those of us out here who have that person we think about, knowing they are alone, thinking about us, alone... It is the perfect conundrum... And circumstances prevents a solution to the mutually shared subliminal torment.

Good to see one that saw the subliminal mind bleep that gets stuck in peoples head after reading this poem. It is a never ending cycle that we never forget those who truly matter. Knowing they will never forget us. Yet ?, you have not qualified as being one who matters Mr. Happy, and I will only be remembering you when I review the comments left here. Thanks for your considerate recognition.

      Cheers! (You're fun too)

Thanks for the laugh. This lonely wolf enjoyed this piece of writing, for sure! I am often alone so I'll be thinking about You thinking about me, a lot. More thinking about me? Why? I do tons of thinking about me to begin with ... LOL

      Cheers! (You're fun.)

The real _itch is that I know that this poem reflects what is actually being done... It is not an instruction as much as it is a condition.
