All Their Tomorrows

Updated on June 24, 2013

There were days

When she felt

That perhaps

It would be better

If another tomorrow didn’t come

But then she looked at the day

With eyes of love

At the sky and the beauty all around

When they spent time

Together and it all seemed so right

And joy filled their hearts and souls

Then tomorrows began to bring smiles

And their passion let them go on again

Days that bring no sun

And that seem to be no fun

Can bring the magical feel of love

When he said such sweet things

And let her know how loved she was

When he turned her day from ordinary

To something wonderful and extraordinary

Then they were glad for each tomorrow

Each tomorrow that brought no more sorrow

So when there came a time

That her steps were not light

And all her tomorrows seemed so bleak

She remembered the good times

The things which brought her great joy

She looked for him and his smile

His touch that made her heart beat fast

His kisses that brought hope

Through all the gloom

So bring on all those tomorrows

That promise so much more

She vowed to turn her world around

And take pleasure in each day

That they shared

And each magical starry night

When they were

Just like one

And passion took their world away

Sometimes it’s hard to believe

In a love so real

And she had to wonder

Why tomorrows should be so hard to face

She guessed perhaps because

No one ever knows

If another tomorrow

Will bring more I love yous

I enjoyed this poem very much. My favorite part:

"She vowed to turn her world around

And take pleasure in each day

      That they shared

      And each magical starry night

      When they were

      Just like one"

      Best Always,

      Kim

Gypsy, beautifully done!... tomorrow is promised to no man, we should live each day as if it were our last; or at least take something good from every day. We'll always hope for a better tomorrow, even as we get older and our thoughts returns to yesterday.

      Excellent and very moving work.
