All of it goes away...

Updated on April 24, 2013

All of it goes away
In the twinkling of an eye,
the queen size bed and the sheets
the chests and the
lamps

Towels we use to dry off,
when our bodies dripping
like the leaking roofs

Rug we wipe our shoes off on
laughing,
when the world outside,
above pouring
under foot boggy

Coat rack we stole from the flee market
when we once ran skint
leave only nails
hanging lonely on a white
wall almost brittle,
No furry coat to hang
No hat with feathers,no twin rib shawl
witnessed our residence

Nothing

All of it goes away
in the twinkling of an eye,
the teapot and cups,
lunch bowls and spoons,
forks,knives and bibs
There’s nothing here to live by ,
And to live for
The storm has taken
everything in its path,
even our love ,we thought once
could stand solid in vicissitudes,
couldn't escape the collateral damage.

Beautiful evocative writing here. I could visualize in my mind through your narrative plea and that's what great writers always do - create a special language all of their own to tell a magnificent story.

Sending you warm wishes from Colin, Tiffy and Gabriel at lake erie time 3:20pm Canada
