Leftovers From Yesterday

Updated on February 18, 2014

Silence without words
that truly never make a sound
She calls your bluff
the intimidation that makes
it so complicated
honesty releases
the dying soul from

Fall down before you grow old
failure leaves a silent sound
quiet in the breeze
fear really has no place
don't you know love
will come back around
from a foreign soul.

So you want to believe
your tears will bring back
another time.
Wasted away all your words
on strife that stole
the sunshine from your face.

Old age stares you down
nothing can wipe away
all the mistakes you've made
it was such a loud rage
broken strings that created
the hugest storm.

Blame it's a painful
resposibility to admit
all the terrible things
you use to say yesterday.

Hush away all the hateful words
it's a calmer world now
where there is no reason to cry
love never leaves you blind
removing the scales from your eyes.

Truth paints a masterpeice
searching between
all the lies
It's a beautiful life
when you silence the past's
voices that once spoke
hatred your way
scrape away all the
leftovers from yesterday.

Great poem, the past is best left behind.

Leftovers From Yesterday interesting about harsh words and and silence that urges one to start all over again from the day before. Great writing!
