a sudden burst of the horizon
penny concerns from a moralist
you murmur quietly
a few believed words
eyebrows raised
your face is grace
always honest
what is received is illusory
not consciousness
very certain now
becomes a riddle again
you've got things on your mind
the miles of waiting
hypnotic petals outside your window
the shock from visitors
I have never seen
are the subject
of your sympathy
suits from the dry cleaners
carefully packed with pride
tonight we know
this & that
are off to New York
because the boys are coming home
we won the war
everything is different now
not thoughtfully yours
silence returns
a curtain of serious influence
puts these moments further away
sleep in beauty

A dream within a dream. Desperation from the unknown. Sadness for a loved one that's gone today, but was lost long ago. All the things that resonated with me as I read this lovely piece.

Your influence prompted my own version of Alzheimer's and how it affects people. Thank you and keep writing even though you are busy. Your writing will grow at it's own pace. Enjoy !!! It's not a race. It's fun and interesting.

A look into the mind of a person that is suffering from a deadly disease. I got many feelings and stirring new emotions. Well done. Keep on writing. You are digging deeper and deeper into subjects that matter.
