Almost a Love Story ~haiku~

Updated on August 11, 2016

A haiku about an almost perfect love story.

Blending the colors
Shadows of red and white
True love's kiss and smiles

So it was then called
Perfect love at its finest
Tuned to its accord.

Heartbeats in heaven
Scent of roses and moon paints
For a white wedding

Now fate changed its mind
From truth to deceitful smiles
And scarred someone's life

Tears cowardly formed
Staining the lovely white dress
With fragments of heart

A beautiful lie
Crushed everything on its sight
Love's unending cry

Empty sky floating
Creating a scentless song
Memories remain

There are some hurts that you never completely get over. And you think that time will diminish their presence and to a degree it does, but it still hurts because well, hurt hurts.

What an expressive poem filled with love and heartbreak. Beautifully written and composed. So sad if this is resonating from your heart. If so...let the healing begin and never look back. He was not worth your faith, love and trust in him.

This is beautifully ironic when you say "fate changed its mind." This is the type of poetry that stays with a person. Very powerful with a tinge of dispair. Painfully beautiful!

      Hi Myz,

      "A beautiful lie

      Crushed everything on its sight

      Love's unending cry"

To be hurt by someone that you love and thought that loved you is the kind of hurt you never totally get over.

      Take care
