Alone.

Updated on April 22, 2011

Warning: Bad poetry to follow. You'll appreciate my Daily Weirds more after this!

Alone. All alone.

On a sea of raging storms.

Navigating becomes tedious, wearing, tiresome.

Scared. So afraid,

Tossed about on angry waves

Searching for help, for hope, for peace.

Battered and bruised,

Emerging from the screams of terror,

Seeing the beauty, the power, the possibilities.

Smiling and laughing,

Sailing on a sea of glass

Feeling the truth, the heart, the courage

Face to the sun,

Arms stretched wide,

Searching, Seeing, Feeling the future

Alone. All alone,

On a sea of raging storms,

Unknown strength, inner peace, a crooked smile.

Pixienot- Thank you, mom, but I can assure you there is no lasting maturity in anything I do.

I enjoy the immaturity of life lived in crazy land!

      Susan,

Wow! You are a fantastic poet. Of course I always knew it, but this shows how deep is your heart and how true is your mind.

I loved this work, Susan. Not because I'm your mom, but because it shows a maturity in your writing that takes my breath away.

      I am so blessed!

      Voted up and beautiful

Sally- Thank you, but don't hold your breath. I try to stay out of the serious world as much as possible- it's not nearly as fun as the crap I usually wallow in! :)

Nellieanna- you have the most beautiful way of phrasing. It's not my desire to be a poet, but if it were, I would want to be a poet like you!

Your words warm my heart more than you can know.

      Thank you! :)

      (hugs back!)

Transparency is something to be desired in a world in which so much of what we want to communicate is distorted and misinterpreted!

It's my pleasure to read you, whether in your light mode or more serious! Hugs.

Nellieanna- I was hoping you would stop by!

Transparent is a great word- I'm not so good at subtlety... I wouldn't know where to start!

Thank you for your kind words.

Mentalist- this was actually a recounting of my feelings after a log ride at King's Island.

Ok, yes, that, and a bit more....
