Always Look Up
When times are bad, seem to get us down,
Always to remember, there's help in the sky.
As all around you cry and gnash their teeth,
We must never forget, and then us all to try.
Don't give up, relinquishing your inheritance,
There's such powerful strength, we hold within.
As surely as each tomorrow so follows today,
We will find our way, in being safe, my friend.
Always to look up, for there are our helpers,
Brightest angels in their own celestial realm.
Our Father in the sky, to greet us by and by,
Steers his ship of life, standing at the helm.
Made in God's own image, his home above,
He gave us a mind and body, this, in his love.
We all know we may count on his protection,
Chasing away evil, a promise of his affection.
Our most benevolent creator and innovator,
Gives us our rest, a sanctuary, of his shelter.
Provides his own, food, a place here on earth,
Demonstrates our values to him, of our worth.
Those who would attempt to harm, hurt his own,
Held in such disdain, of his wrath, temper shown.
Every special life meaningful, he does so revere,
Each one, its own special niche, is why we're here.
