America Is Great, Always Strong

Updated on February 4, 2017

One question to ask, are you an American or an American't?

Now it's the time to do our job, not complain or just to rant,

Do what's needed, not all to get mad or just make a fuss,

this great country, the whole wide world, is counting on us.

Refrain

We're Americans, not American'ts, always great. always strong,

We'll help enforce the peace, as we make right every wrong,

In this Land of the Free, home of the brave, where we all belong.

Back in 76 was when we all earned our independence,

All of us then got together, smart men in attendance.

We took back our country, then made it grand and strong,

Now all that came here could all stay, always to belong.

refrain:

We're Americans, not Americant's, always great, always strong,

We'll help enforce the peace, while we right every wrong,

In this Land of the Free, home of the brave, where we all belong.

One hundred years later was the date all fought our civil war,

We found a better solution then, never fought ourselves anymore.

All learned a valuable lesson, that all men are created equal,

Now we won't have to worry because there will never be a sequel.

Refrain:

We're Americans, not American'ts, always great, always strong,

We'll help enforce the peace, while we right every wrong.

In this Land of the Free, home of the brave, where we all belong.

Then came the twentieth century, in World War One and Two,

When we went to help our neighbors, all did what we had to do.

We put down aggression, defeated the enemy as we should,

There we helped a lot of people because we knew that we could.

Refrain:

We're Americans, not American'ts, always great, always strong,

We'll help enforce the peace, while we right every wrong,

In this Land of the Free, home of the brave, where we all belong.

We've defended the helpless, all around this whole wide world,

We'll wage war on terrorists, until off this earth they're all hurled.

In Asian climes, other foreign lands, the sands of the Middle East,

Until there's no war anymore, settled, at last, nothing but peace.

Refrain:

We're Americans, not American'ts, always great, always strong,

We'll help enforce the peace, while we right every wrong,

In this Land of the Free, home of the brave, where we all belong.

Americans, always strong...

Most inspiring I think all Americans born there or not should stand shoulder to shoulder and keep strong for the land that they love.

Your poetry is always compelling. The refrain on this one is an added attraction. "Americans not American'ts" for sure! Have a great week.
