An Acrostics Poem - Saturdays

Updated on February 16, 2015
Source

Saturdays are calling....

Sunning in the summer; winter skiing, please don't fall;

Apples in the autumn, or any time at all;

Tennis in the springtime, or indoor in a hall;

Under an umbrella, when raindrops start to fall;

Romance in any season, any one at all;

Dance beneath the moonlight to the square dancer's call;

Avoid just being lazy, life won't let you stall;

You’re made for motion, moving, but be careful not to fall;

Saturdays are calling! Grab your partner. Have a ball!

      Gypsy Willow: Snow in Lake Tahoe? You could be back in New Zealand by now! Wherever you are, your visit here was welcome, especially coming as it has on another Saturday. Now use that inspiration and put some fun into yor day. As the writer that you are, I am sure that hitting a computer keyboard anywhere can bring you a good measure of fun, just as it does me.

      snakeslane, Michele Travis, flashmakeit, Mhatter99, and BlossomSB: Here it is another Saturday, so soon! Find some time for fun, even though this is the first of the final three Saturdays before Christmas. Don't spend it all inside licking envelopes for the Christmas mailings. We will have cold and snow for our weekend, and depending on where you are, it might not be long before you have some too! Less than two weeks before the longest night of the year. Get cracking!
