Let's Go To America

Updated on February 17, 2013

This a book I just finished writing, it is base on a true life story and it is an.African tale.. This is the preview (Preface) of the book, I would like some thought......

It's being one year, two months and eighteen days since I bid home good bye.

Thirty thousand feet above the ground, I wondered away in my thought, there are a thousand good memories, beautiful moments that always leaves a gentle and shy smile on my face, fond memories and breathtaking moments I would love to leave again if I could, but the best of them all are the memories from my childhood. I could still feel the chills, I could still see the Big old tree and the fire that burns every night as we came together to sing, dance and tell stories. These where the best times of my life.

Fun stories were told, scary ones too and once in a while when we had someone visit from the big cities, we heard stories of different parts of the World, thousands of feet above the ground I journey to place who's story we loved the most. I journey to God's own land as they would call it.

The largest gathering we always had during these nights, was when this story was told. Young boys and girls lost in their private world as they envision this place and try in their minds to picture it, old men and women sat with their chin resting on their palms as they stare into the nightly sky, everyone listened carefully and attentively wanting to hear every phrase and sentences, it was the greatest story ever told and no matter how many times it was told, every one was always eager to hear and listen, the night always felt too short when the story was told and no one cared how long it took every one was ready and willing to tarry till the break of dawn.

America! The land of endless opportunities... These were the very phrase on which the story always began

One of the characteristics that helped make America a great nation is determination and persistence! You keep on with this mindset and you will succeed as a writer my friend!
